If you are looking for a chihuahua that's all sugar, and no spice... look no further! I am a total love bug who's looking for the perfect companion to shower with kisses and snuggles. I am super fun and spunky, and I have the cutest happy dance when I'm excited. My tail wags so fast it looks like a helicopter! I am truly a special chihuahua with tons of love to give. My life hasn't been easy... I've spent years in a cage raising multiple litters of puppies. But now it's my turn to learn about the world and how wonderful it can be! I'm a very timid girl at first. I find new people and situations overwhelming. I spent the first week at my foster's house in my kennel, and only came out for food. But my foster parents brought me yummy chicken every time they came to see me, and were very patient and kind with me. When I met my furry foster brother (who's also a chihuahua!) I decided to come on out and get to know the family. I never looked back! Now I don't go in my kennel at all. In fact, I really hate it! I prefer to sleep right beside my foster mom and kiss her face when she wakes up 🙂 I love giving kisses. I give a million kisses when I see my foster mom, and do the cutest happy dance for her! I can curl up and nap for hours, happy to have my foster siblings snuggled up next to me. I love them so much, I even groom them! With them around, I feel really safe.. so it's important my future family has a furry sibling for me to love. I'm a bit of a foodie.. so much so that I try to steal food from my foster siblings when they're eating too. Now my foster Mom has to hold me when they eat. Whoops! I used to have to fight for food, so now I gobble it up as fast as I can! I know over time I'll learn to eat slower. Bathroom breaks are new to me.. but I've figured out I'm supposed to go on the pee pad. I hit it (almost) all the time! I also know I'm supposed to go outside, and I'm learning to ask. I'm not perfect, but I'm trying. I don't wear a collar or a harness well.. something about my figure makes it easy for me to slip out. But to be honest, I'm not one for walks. I don't really have a desire to see new places. I'm more content to cuddle up with my foster mom and siblings on the couch. That being said, my new family will have to be very careful taking me outside. Chihuahuas are known to be escape artists, especially when we're scared. So keep a close eye on me until I'm comfortable with you! A few things I love: getting belly rubs, giving a million kisses, and snuggling my foster siblings. A few things I hate: having my ears touched, getting my nails clipped, and loud noises. I know I will make someone unbelievably happy, because I'm such a good girl who loves to give affection. Sometimes I even reach out and hold your hand with my paw! But I will take some time to adjust, and I need my future family to know that I might always be a nervous girl who needs a little extra patience. Going to a calm, understanding, and loving home with a furry friend to help me feel safe is a must! My foster mom is sooooo sad to see me go. She tells me all the time she wishes I could stay with her forever. But I'm meant for more adventures, and my family is out there waiting to bring me home! Now that I'm out of the cage, life is so much fun! I can't wait to share it with you.
Love, Martha
