Hi! My name is Pepsi, and before you ask, yes... I am as bubbly as my name suggests. I'm approximately 2 years old, likely a Pitbull/Shepherd mix, although I'm a little shorter than most people expect. Think "fun-sized" rather than "travel-sized." Before I landed in rescue, I was living on the streets while pregnant with 13 puppies. THIRTEEN. If you're doing the math, that's basically an entire classroom of children. Raising 13 babies as a single mom was exhausting work, but thankfully I had an amazing foster family and lots of aunties who helped me get those little freeloaders raised and ready for their own homes. Now that my kids have moved out, I'm finally ready to focus on me. A few things you should know: * I love other dogs. My favorite hobby is chasing them around the yard and engaging in professional-level mouth wrestling matches. * I have lots of energy and would love a canine sibling who can keep up with my shenanigans. * When I'm done being a goofball, I transform into a cuddle bug and would happily accept snuggles on the couch. * I'm learning my manners! I know "sit" and "down," especially when treats are involved. Apparently humans call this being "food motivated." I call it being smart. * I'm working on leash walking and getting better every day. Speaking of food... You should probably know that if you're eating, I will be interested. Deeply interested. Emotionally invested, even. I won't judge your meal choices, but I would appreciate the opportunity to supervise them from a very close distance. If food accidentally falls on the floor, I'll consider it my civic duty to clean it up immediately. I play with toys once in a while, but honestly, other dogs and snacks are currently higher on my list of priorities. What I'm looking for is a family that will continue teaching me how awesome life can be. I'd love a playful dog friend, a secure yard to zoom around in, people who appreciate my goofy personality, and maybe a few snacks. Okay, definitely a few snacks. I've spent the last couple of years surviving, raising babies, and taking care of everyone else. Now it's my turn to be spoiled. If you're looking for a funny, affectionate, energetic girl with a heart as big as her appetite, I might just be your perfect Pepsi.
