Hi. I’m Mammy. Let Me Explain…. Mammy is short for Mammatus, actually. It’s a cloud type. My foster mom’s fiancé is a pilot who loves clouds, so that’s the theme around here. I came into foster care as a mom myself, and I poured everything I had into my babies. They’re all grown and settled into their own homes now. Which means it’s finally, wonderfully my turn. And honestly? I think I’m going to be very good at this part too. I am a snuggler through and through. I want to sit on your lap, lean into you on the couch, and fall asleep with my head on your leg like that’s just where it belongs. If you sit down, I will find a way to be touching you within about four seconds. It’s basically a guarantee. But don’t let the cuddles fool you, I’ve got a lot of energy too. I love a good zoomie around the yard, I’m endlessly entertained by squirrels and rabbits (my foster mom won’t let me test my theory that I could catch one, very unfair), and I’d love a calmer doggy friend to balance me out. Someone steady who can handle my playful chaos for a bit and then doesn’t mind when I inevitably flop down for a nap mid-game. I walk great on a leash, I’m fully house trained and crate trained, and I’m extremely food motivated, which my foster mom says makes me “a dream to train.” I prefer the term gifted. I’ve loved every kid I’ve met, and I get along well with other dogs once we’ve had a proper introduction. Cats, I haven’t met yet, so we’ll figure that one out together when the time comes. I spent a long time taking care of everybody else. Now I’m looking for someone who wants to cuddle up with me and let me take care of them right back. I think it should be you! ♥️​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
