Hi, I’m Silky I’m an 8-month-old Shepherd mix, and I’ll admit I can be a little shy when we first meet. New people and new things can be scary for me, so I just need a little patience and time to feel comfortable. I don’t know what my past looked like, but I am just a scared little girl, never aggressive, just nervous. But once I come out of my shell… oh boy, you’re going to see how much fun I am! I’m a total sweetheart and I LOVE kids. I’m also a dream to train according to my foster mom, I pick things up super quickly and I’m always ready to learn. I’m already sleeping through the entire night in my kennel like a perfect little angel One of my favourite things about being in my foster home is learning that I can be brave. You can actually watch me gain confidence in little situations every day. When I try something new, figure it out, and realize I did it all by myself, I get so proud of myself , and my foster family gets so proud of me too. I’m a lover and I absolutely adore being around my people. I’m not always looking for cuddles, but every now and then I’ll decide I need some love, and those moments are extra special because you know how far I’ve come. I have a few very important hobbies, too. One of them is trampolining . If you have a trampoline, I’m basically going to assume it was purchased specifically for me. A trampoline isn’t required, but it is a very strong recommendation. I also have a slightly questionable habit of stealing your clothes when you’re getting into the shower. If you leave your clothes on the floor, I will quietly take them away. Don’t worry! I won’t chew them. I just like to relocate them for absolutely no reason. I call it, interior decorating. I’m looking for someone who will give me the time and patience to get comfortable and let me discover the world at my own pace. I may start out as a nervous little girl, but once I feel safe, I promise you’ll get to see the funniest, sweetest, silliest girl emerge, and watching that transformation is pretty darn special.
